This fine toad house is one of John Jensens' original interpretations of a traditional form. It is thrown on the pottery wheel and built by hand in stoneware clay. Fired to high temperature and fully vitreous the material is impervious to all weather. The unique design provides cool shade and positive cross ventilation as well as protection to the toads from such hazards as string trimmers and garden hoes.
Toads are very beneficial to a garden and to attract toads you need three elements: A toxin free environment, still water such as a small pond or ground level birdbath, and shady shelter...such as your Toad House.
